The Aprilaire E070 model paired with the ATMOX Controls offers the best crawl space moisture control system. The ATMOX ACE Controller will determine the best tool to reduce moisture at any given time. This means that most of the time the system will be using outside fresh air pushed and pulled in with fans. The dehumidifier acts as a back up for drying action when outside air is not available. This high quality unit is effective in quickly reducing moisture levels within the crawl space.
In larger crawl spaces, a dehumidifier may have difficulty drying out far corners away from the unit. To solve this problem, use the ATMOX internal fans with the Aprilaire E070 to assist air movement to the unit to improve the drying reach. You don’t want to dry out the area near the dehumidifier but neglect the other parts. Both vented and encapsulated crawl spaces can benefit from the use of an ATMOX system.
Energy Usage
The goal of an ATMOX moisture control setup up is to improve energy efficiency and air quality. We believe moisture control systems should be effective as well as inexpensive to operate. However, dehumidifiers often have high energy usage. With use of the ACE Controller, it reduces the use of the dehumidifier when fans are better at drying. As a result, there is less energy consumption and also brings in some fresh outside air.
Features
The Aprilaire E070 dehumidifier design is for small spaces such as crawl spaces. It has a large capacity water removal of 70 pints of water per day. The internal fan is 200 CFM. In addition, the auto restart allows the dehumidifier to automatically restart after a power outage.
Pump Kit
The condensate pump kits are available through ATMOX and compatible with the Aprilaire E070 and E100 models. The dehumidifier pump kit allows for drainage of condensation from a unit. It allows for drainage when gravity is not available, therefore, giving flexibility as to where you install your drying unit. This pump kit has the advantage of a very low profile which makes it well suited for very low crawl spaces. This pump also has a monitoring sensor that sends a “turn off” signal to the Aprilaire unit in the case of a pump failure. To limit the chance of the condensate drainage causing an issue, wire the pump directly to the dehumidifier or through the ATMOX Aprilaire dehumidifier adapter. Additionally, the pump includes a drain line that can be extended if necessary. The pump kits are available through ATMOX and compatible with the Aprilaire units.
