What are some typical characteristics in your area?
While there are seasonal differences and some variation in the region, the attic temperatures are generally hot and hotter. Winter temperatures can get colder in the evening, below freezing temperatures are rare for extended periods of time.
In the peak of summer, attic temperatures can be extremely high to the point of heat damage to roof shingles and overuse of HVAC systems. Attics will benefit from heat reduction through ventilation.
Most attics in this region do not have issues with moisture buildup since temperatures are generally not very low. There are exceptions to this if excessive moisture generated in the living space is getting trapped inside the attic.
What does the ATMOXsphere look like?
Let’s look at components of a typical 1500 square foot attic with ATMOX.
The ATMOX APEX controller and display bring all the operations together and provide a notification tool for status and operation of the system along with alerts.
The inside sensor and outside sensor provide data on temperature and humidity. This information is used by the controller to determine operation to improve conditions.
These fans bring in outside air when conditions are met. This fresh outside air will effectively reduce the heat in the attic and will improve the air quality of attic and in turn the home. The fans have extremely low energy usage.
Your installer will do a site assessment to determine exactly what your home needs. This example is for informational purposes only.
