What are some typical characteristics in your area?

Temperatures are not consistent throughout every part of this region, but generally there are very distinct seasons. The summer can be very, very hot. The winter can be very, very cold.

In the peak of summer, attic temperatures can often exceed a comfortable range. Attics will benefit from heat reduction through ventilation.

In the winter time, the attics are susceptible to moisture issues that can lead to issues of mold or wood rot. The warm moist air forms inside the house escapes to the attic. If that moisture gets trapped in the attic, it can lead to condensation on the cold surfaces.

What does the ATMOXsphere look like?

Let’s look at components of a typical 1500 square foot attic with ATMOX.

The ATMOX APEX controller and display bring all the operations together and provide a notification tool for status and operation of the system along with alerts.

The inside sensor and outside sensor provide data on temperature and humidity. This information is used by the controller to determine operation to improve conditions.

These fans bring in outside air when conditions are met. The ventilation will exchange the air expelling moisture buildup in the attic and will also reduce the heat during peak summer months. The air exchanges will improve the air quality of attic and in turn the home. The fans have extremely low energy usage. A combination of fans is suggested to balance air movement throughout the entire space.
